JUNIOR TEACHERS
Students from Stage 3 work with Stage 1 students in a team to teach various activities. For example -
Classmates pluck stickies for classbuilding, mastery or higher-level thinking. Teacher provides characteristic topics, mastery problems or thought problems. Students write answers on stickies. For Mastery questions the answer is on the back. Students attach stickies on a 3x5 card or on their body. Students read their partner's stickie.
For Classbuilding: Read it. If true take it.
For Mastery: Read it & answer. If correct, receive praise and take it.
For Thinking: Read it and give your thoughts. Receive praise and take it.
Students put a hand up to find a new partner. Repeat previous steps. Teacher calls time and students return to their teams.
Teammates work together to ensure all members understand; one is randomly selected to be held accountable. Teacher poses a problem and gives `Think Time.' Students write answers, then with heads together, show answers, discuss and teach then sit down. Teacher calls a number. Student with that number from each teams answers simultaneously, using
* Slate Share
* Choral Practice
* Finger Responses
*Chalkboard Responses
*Response Cards
*Manipulatives
Teacher says, `Stand up, hand up, and pair up!' Students keep one hand in the air until they find the closest partner who is not a teammate. Teacher asks question or gives assignment and provides think time. Partners share using:
* Pair discussion
* Rally Robin
* Timed Pair Share
Teams work to sequence cards in their proper order, but there is a catch - each students holds his or her own cards and no one else can see what's on them!

The team shares some laughs as one teammate presents statements to his or her team and the other teammates work together to find the lie.
